College Scholarships come in many different forms depending on a student’s talents and the financial needs of the family.  Similar to the comprehensive nature of a Kaarme student profile, merit scholarships are generally awarded based on a student's academic, athletic or artistic merit, in addition to special interests.  Colleges may offer scholarships to help increase the multicultural diversity of the student body. They typically offer scholarships in specific majors to encourage students to enroll in underrepresented majors (e.g., scholarships for women and minorities in science and engineering).

Especially in today’s tougher economic times, it is important to know all the financial aid options that are associated with each college.  The links provided in these directories will take you right to the financial aid/scholarships section of each college website for you to explore your options.  The odds are tough and the competition is stacked against you so it is important for you to stand out from the crowd and use your Kaarme profile to set yourself apart.
