Thank you for your support over the last year.
Kaarme was very well received at the Baltimore NACAC conference. Better than expected.

It seems that a lot of high schools are concerned about the legal issues associated with guidance referring their students to scholarship and college search companies that sell personal student data.

Most students are minors and this poses a problem if the counselors and school administrations are referring them to these sites so they are removing the links and looking for a safe replacement.

Kaarme is the only college and scholarship search site that doesn’t sell student data so there is a big interest in our tools for students!

We have a long way to go though.

The main criticisms we had were related to marketing. Visitors to our exhibit felt we were failing to get the word out about the concept of the safe scholarship and college search for students requiring no log in. We need to interface a bit more with the right sites and blogs. Any suggestions?

People who have used Kaarme also felt that we don’t make it clear enough that we are built on a mission of protecting student data from sales to third parties. A front page issue where we could use your feedback on how to present it properly.
We would appreciate any suggestions you might have.

As a free – product company that doesn’t sell data, we can’t have a big marketing budget. We attempt to funnel the majority of our funds into enhancing the Kaarme site and it seems to be working so far.
