Kid's Privacy

Information you provide should be relevant to your aspirations in education, sports, and the arts. This information is available to any person choosing to register on the Kaarme system. If you choose to upload information you would like to control access to, mark it as private.

Your privacy is very important to us. We do not distribute your personally identifiable information to organizations other than colleges. The only marketing that your personally identifiable information would be involved in would be related to your college search.

We collect the e-mail addresses of those who communicate with us via e-mail, aggregate information on what pages members access or visit, and detailed profile information volunteered by you for the purpose of being searched and viewed by other members and others seeking your attributes. The information we collect is used to share your talents with others, but is not sent to other organizations for commercial purposes, except to provide products or services you've requested.

Exceptions are made under the following circumstances:

• It is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person.
• We transfer information about you if Kaarme is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, Kaarme will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

INFORMATION GATHERING AND USAGE

• When you register for Kaarme we ask for information such as your name, email address, zip code and date of birth. All information is voluntary. Kaarme uses collected information for the following general purposes: Identification and authentication, Services improvement, Contact and research, student searches, Products and services provision.
• Kaarme displays targeted advertisements based on personal information. Advertisers (including ad serving companies) may assume that people who interact with, view, or click targeted ads meet the targeting criteria—for example, women ages 18-24 from a particular geographic area.

COOKIES

• A cookie is a small amount of data, which often includes an anonymous unique identifier, that is sent to your browser from a website's computers and stored on your computer's hard drive.
• Cookies are required to use the Kaarme website.
• We use cookies to record current session information, and use persistent cookies to maintain your login information (if you have not specifically logged out of the system).

COMMUNICATION BETWEEN USERS

Kaarme has both Messaging and Blogging features that allow for communication between users within the Kaarme site.
Kaarme has the right to monitor all communication for inappropriate conduct.

CANCELLATION

Upon cancellation your information will be removed from our search and contact database. Information may be kept for auditing purposes but you will no longer be able to be contacted, found in league tables, have your information searchable, or have your profile viewable.

CHILDREN

This site is not to be used by children under the age of 14. Any user profiles of child talent under the age of 14 must be approved, entered, maintained and managed by a parent, guardian or authorized legal agent.

DATA STORAGE

Kaarme uses third party vendors and hosting partners to provide the necessary hardware, software, networking, storage and related technology required to run the website. Kaarme owns the code, databases and all rights to therein.

DISCLOSURE

• Kaarme may disclose personally identifiable information under special circumstances, such as to comply with subpoenas or when your actions violate the law.

EMPLOYEE USE

Employees of Kaarme will use your information in accordance with the privacy policy. Any person violating this policy will be subject to termination and possible legal action.

CHANGES

Kaarme may periodically update this policy. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by placing a prominent notice on our site.
