Kaarme has just released a College and University Sports Data Center. This free information is provided for use by Athletes, Coaches, and Parents of Athletes looking for Sports Programs and Athletic Scholarships. Student athletes can find the right college athletic programs, find scholarships, and college rank information. Kaarme has detailed college sports information that no other site has.

The National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS) is a for-profit national organization established in 2002 and claims 500,000 members. Students pay an individual fee of $60 to join; fee-waivers are offered to eligible students. NSHSS is operated from a corporate office in Atlanta, Georgia and doesn’t have local chapters. Questions about NSHSS practices posed to their media representative, Yun Mi Ye, went unanswered. According to their website, NSSHS administers some scholarships provided by outside organizations that are available only to NSHH members, such as a $1,000 Griffith Scholarship and scholarships funded by the clothing store, Abercrombie and Fitch.

We rarely do commercials about ourselves, but this article really underscores what Kaarme is all about. Is College Admissions Fair?

That’s the question I posed to the country’s premier college consultant Michele Hernandez. The former Assistant Admissions Director at Dartmouth, author of A is for Admissions, and founder of HernandezCollegeConsulting.com responded simply. "No. So many people direct their anger at affirmative action, or at the business of college counseling. They talk about students who aren’t as qualified getting in because they’re in a minority, or because their parents spent a lot of money on a consultant. But if you really want to understand what’s going on in admissions today—who’s getting in and who isn’t—you need to understand one important number: 40.”

Kaarme now provides access to your student resume for high school guidance departments, colleges, and coaches. Use your resume link on college, scholarship, and work applications. Your unique address is listed at the top of your profile when you log in.

Facebook is great for sharing with friends, but it may be damaging to share with colleges and employers. Send colleges, employers and counselors to your Kaarme resume instead. They'll get all the details you want them to know about you, without the noise of a social networking site.

Many colleges are more interested in seeing the impact a student has on his or her community then just standardized test scores and grades. So be sure to edit your profile today to take advantage of this new section to give you a leg up on the competition.

In addition to the search engine that allows colleges to find specific student using over 500 fields that we have included in our database, Kaarme has developed a system that lets students take a proactive approach and email their profile to over 1,500 of the best schools in the country.

Students can now attach any file relating to scholarship application, sports, and/or college admissions only once to create a dynamic profile that can be emailed to various colleges of interest.
